Having Master degree in International relations and over 15 years of experience in child and labour rights activist, I have worked up on range of issues of the protection of rights of children, labour and migrants including with emergency and relief, humanitarian assistance to displaced persons of flood, violence and drought affected communities in Pakistan and Nepal countries. Besides, active engagement in safeguarding rights of vulnerable communities, as a social researcher have conducted researches on the issues of child labour, refugees and bonded labour. Hence, I have also been consistently contributing as freelance journalist to highlight the issues of human rights in Pakistan. In recognition of excellence on the writing on issues of migrants and land rights, I have been honoured with distinguished DAJA award by the Asian Development Bank Institute and APNS award by the president of Pakistan.

Research Interests

We have been working to protect the rights of children of migrant and displaced children. In this regard, global campaign called Destination Unknown- Children on the Move has also been initiated to highlight the plight of millions of migrant Afghani, Burmese and Bengali children and their families.

I am more interested in the research on rehabilitation of immigrants, social security and related issues pertaining to illegal immigrants, displaced persons and refugees.
