Biography:

Dr. Nurul Huda Sakib graduated from the Department of Government and International Relations, The University of Sydney, Australia in 2018. He teaches Development Studies, Governance Issues and Problems, State Society and Politics, Political Theories for Developing Countries and Global Politics over twelve years at the Department of Government and Politics, Jahangirnagar University. Dr. Sakib also taught Public Sector Ethics and Corruption at the Department of Government and International Relations, the University of Sydney as a casual lecturer and guest lecturer from the period of 2016 to 2018. He is also an adjunct faculty of Bangladesh University of Professionals since January 2020. Additionally, Dr. Sakib also acts as a research supervisor at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre. Dr. Sakib published over 15 articles appeared in journals like Asian Journal of Political Science (Routledge), Chinese Political Science Review (Springer). He is also one of the contributing authors of Global Encyclopedia of Public Administration, Public Policy, and Governance, edited by Professor Ali Farazmand. Dr. Sakib has presented numerous research papers at Sydney, Melbourne, Monash, Griffith (Australia), Fudan (China), The Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and Bangladesh.

Research Interests

The political economy of refugee and climate governance in Bangladesh mainly focusing on corruption, NGO politics and community governance. Also looking forward to investigating post-COVID-19 challenges in developing countries keep an eye on internal migration, the influence of overseas migration in the national economy, community organizing.
