Raluca is alumni of University of Cambridge, Department of Geography, where she completed her MPhil in Environment, Society and Development in 2013. Since 2015, Raluca has been working for the European Commission on migration cooperation with countries in the neighbourhood and enlargement regions of the European Union, with a more recent focus (since February 2019) on Turkey. Raluca has previously worked for the International Organisation for Migration in Sudan (2009-2010) and in Jordan (2010-2012), for the International Law and Policy Group in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2013), and   for the International Centre for Migration Policy Development in Brussels, Belgium (2014). She completed her Bachelor Degree at the Babes Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca, Romania in 2007, and holds a postgraduate diploma from the Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid Spain (2008).


My research interests include democracy and the politics of migration management, the economic contribution of migrants to countries of destination and to countries of origin, human rights and forced displacement, integration of refugees, with specific geographic focus on Romania, Turkey, North Africa and Jordan.
