Biography:

Mr. Tarik Aziz is a Lecturer of the Department of Economics, Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST), Sylhet-3114, Bangladesh. The first of its kind and one of the top-ranked public universities of Bangladesh. He is also an adjunct faculty of Army Institute of Business Administration (AIBA) since January 2020.
Prior to that, Mr. Tarik worked as a Bangladeshi Students Delegate at Exposure Visit-cum-Training Programme by Centre for National and International Collaboration (CNIC), CIRDAP and Rajib Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) in Chennai, India. He obtained his MSS and BSS degree in Economics from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST). He has participated in number of lectures, seminars and workshops at University Research Centre, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). He also worked on several Micro and Macro Economic research projects. He has published research article on Banking sector development and Economic growth and was a co-author of “SUST Economic Gaffiti; vol. 2, 2016”. Mr. Tarik taught Macroeconomics, Mathematical Economics, Banking and Finance and Political Economy from 2019 to till date.

Research Interests

Currently doing research on Public Health Economics, ICT and Energy Economics especially Electric power consumption. Also intended to investigate Environmental Economic Issues which is responsible for internal migration and post-pandemic migration impacts.
