Biography

Yue is a continuing PhD student at the Faculty of Education following the completion of her MPhil degree in Research in Second Language Education. Prior to joining the Faculty, Yue obtained a BA in English at Nankai University in China and had been an exchange student at the University of New South Wales, Australia. She had various experiences in teaching and researching immigrant minority children both in Australia and in the UK.

Research

Yue has a particular interest in issues and discourses of identities, heritage, and language learning in the transnational migration contexts. Her doctoral project looks at the wellbeing of immigrant minority children and how it relates to one's identity construction and language learning.
