The Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement

The Cambridge Review of Asylum, Migration and Mobility (ROAM) is an annual graduate publication that encourages students and alumni of the University of Cambridge to engage in an inter-disciplinary dialogue on refugee and migration issues. We publish opinion pieces, ethnographic research, book reviews, and other related academic articles. Our aim is to share a diversity of perspectives and to welcome rational debate on one of the most pressing issues of our time.

ROAM was co-founded by Mariana Pinto Leitão Pereira (Clare Hall) and Ashley Mehra (King’s College) in affiliation with the Cambridge Migration Society and the Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement. If you are a current student or alum with interest in joining the board of editors for the 2021-2022 academic year, please email (

The inaugural issue will be published at the start of Michaelmas term. Please return to this page for more details on submitting to next year’s issue.
