Kitya Mark holds a first class BA degree in English from Pembroke College, Cambridge and is now undertaking an Mphil in Architecture and Urban Studies. Her research examines the architecture of the hostile environment and the relationship between displacement and belonging in Immigration Removal Centres in the United Kingdom. Her supervisor is Dr Irit Katz.
Kitya is interested in spaces of displacement, the relation between space, poetics and politics, as well as the emotional experience of collaborative participatory workshops.
