Support Refugee Students in Indonesia to Strengthen their Academic English this Summer

The Cambridge Remote Learning in Crises and Emergencies (RLCE) program has partnered with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) to support refugee students in Indonesia in developing the academic English skills they need to pursue further education.

Many of these students have strong educational ambitions but are unable to access state-funded education in Indonesia. Instead, they study in informal refugee learning centres and are preparing for the GED high school equivalency qualification. While they are highly motivated, the academic English required to fully understand and succeed in the exam can present a significant barrier.

This summer, you can help make a difference by delivering online academic English classes that support students to achieve their goals and unlock their potential.

No previous English teaching experience is required, just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to volunteer your time in support of equitable access to education. Full training and teaching resources will be provided in June.
