The Cambridge Migration Society is pleased to present the second Easter seminar of the Graduate Migration Research Series:

2PM Tues 8 May | Alison Richard Building S2

Aline Khoury, PhD student, Development Studies, University of Cambridge

THE INCLUSION OF VULNERABLE MIGRANTS IN BRAZIL THROUGH THE LENSES OF THE CAPABILITY APPROACH

Discussant: Dr Solava Ibrahim, Development Studies, University of Cambridge

More information can be found here.

The presentation shows how the four principles of Amartya Sen's Capability Approach might enrich current debates in migration studies, proposing more emphasis on the values of the individuals migrating and not only on the outcomes that their settlement might bring.
