Biography
Dr Adam P. Coutts is a lecturer on the MPhil in Public Policy. He has worked extensively in the Middle East and North Africa as a policy consultant on social protection and public policy for a range of United Nations agencies, regional governments and International Non-Governmental Organisations. Over the past five years he has collaborated with academics and policy makers from Syria, Lebanon and Jordan to examine the growing Syrian refugee health crisis. This has involved establishing health surveys, investigating the causes and consequences of tensions between refugees and their host communities, and assessing the quality of the humanitarian response effort and how it can be improved.
