The Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement

Biography

As a young researcher and a member of the global Wenzhou migration community, I have been exploring many key problems about Wenzhou migration. My PhD project is about the nature of Chinese migration since China's 1978 Reform and Opening-up. The patterns of Chinese migrants, determinants, following social integration, and return movement, are all involved in this project. Taking Wenzhou migration as a case study, I focus on Wenzhou migrants in Spain and the United States from a comparative perspective.

Research

My research interest ranges from Immigration and Development, Economic Migration, Migration and Labour Markets, to Chinese Studies. Demography and relevant policymaking also draw my attention.
