Biography:

Currently, I am a Research Officer at Cambridge Assessment in the area of Curriculum and Development. Through this role, I am on the team leading the UNICEF Education in Emergencies Curriculum Framework project. I also sit on the Executive Board for the EU Association of History Educators (EUROCLIO). I have worked on several peace building and social transition projects in post-conflict and divided societies. These involved a mixture of curriculum evaluation, resource development and teacher training initiatives. Recently, I have completed projects in northern Spain, the Balkan region and South Korea. Previously, I was a research assistant at Queen’s University Belfast where I worked on several projects related to citizenship and peace education, child advocacy in displaced communities and transitional justice. My PhD research, also completed at Queen’s University Belfast, focused on the role that education plays in how young people view and develop their sense of national identity in post-conflict and/or divided societies.
