The Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement

June 20 is the World Refugee Day designated by the United Nations to celebrate the strength and courage of refugees around the globe.

Under this year’s theme “Whoever. Wherever. Whenever. Everyone has the right to seek safety”, the Refugee Hub of the Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement welcomes contributions from Cambridge students and staff for the Refugee Week, 20 to 26 of June 2022.

These can be research panels, workshops, or conversations, on practice or on policy, on refugees or their countries of origin, off- or on-line, organised about, with or by refugees. We welcome a diversity of expressions, including poetic, musical, dramatic, participatory or experiential engagements.

If you are interested in contributing in any way, please send a mail by June 3rd, 2022 to refugees@humanmovement.cam.ac.uk with a short abstract of 100-200 words, specification of in-person or online event, as well as a list of potential speakers and/or performers.

Date:

Monday, 20 June, 2022 - 12:00 to Sunday, 26 June, 2022 - 12:00

Event location:

University of Cambridge/ City of Cambridge
