Awa Farah is a political sociologist whose research interests include migration and diaspora communities, ethnic relations and identity politics; social transformation and social mobility. Her work is predominately based in the African continent with a particular focus in East Africa. She is currently a PhD student at Churchill College, Cambridge.
Research
Her research interests are ethnic relations and identity politics; social transformation in Somalia; education, employment, and social mobility; migration and diaspora communities; and poverty and exclusion.
