Biography

Alex is a political and legal geographer interested in legal mechanisms and access to justice in the wake of mass violence. His research has sought to contribute to debates concerning critical geopolitics, civil society and transitional justice.

Research

I have an ongoing interest in the legal protection of refugees under international law, with a specific focus on access to justice under international criminal law. In recent work I have explored this question in relation to the expulsion of Rohingya communities from Rakhine State, Myanmar.
