Biography

Vandita is a PhD in Law candidate at the Faculty of Law. Her research explores the possibility of addressing racialised poverty in European human rights law. She supervises undergraduate law students in Human Rights Law and co-convenes the Law and Race forum. Prior to the PhD, she completed the MPhil in Law and Bachelor of Civil Law at the University of Oxford and graduated with a BA LLB (Hons) from Jindal Global Law School, India.

Research

In her PhD, Vandita studies racialised poverty as a human rights issue. In this context, she examines the relation between migration control and racialised poverty under the European Convention on Human Rights.
