Biography

After completing a BA in Classics (2018, Durham) and a MSt in Medieval History (2019, Oxford), Teresa moved to Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge to start a PhD in Medieval History in October 2019. Her research focuses on questions of social identity among foreign scholars at the late medieval universities of Paris and Orléans. She is supervised by Prof. Nora Berend.

Research

Teresa is interested in the construction, expression, and significance of individual and group social identity in the context of voluntary and short-term migration. Although she is currently focusing on the Middle Ages and on the study abroad phenomenon, her interest in these themes encompasses different historical periods and phenomena.
