The Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement

NaTakallam (“we speak” in Arabic) is an award-winning, woman-founded, social
enterprise that delivers high-quality, impactful language, translation and cultural
exchange services, by vetted and highly-skilled refugees and displaced persons
worldwide. NaTakallam’s Conversation Partners (CPs) receive a much-needed
income, new marketable skills, purpose, and re-gained dignity. Since 2015,
NaTakallam CPs, who at times have no other access to employment due to their
legal status and location, have self-generated over $700,000 in income through
online language tutoring, translation work, and guest speaking sessions.

We are fortunate to welcome Kinda for a guest speaking session. Kinda is originally from Syria and is now living in Amman, Jordan. Kinda will talk about her experiences of forced displacement and we will encourage participants to prepare some respectful, open-ended questions for her.

Please note that the number of attendees is strictly limited to 15 ensure a personal dialogue.

To register please email: and include your name and organisation.

This event is funded by Ben & Jerry's UK in partnership with Counterpoints Arts and of course NaTakallam!
