This seminar with Professor Mike Hough, Emeritus Professor, School of Law Birkbeck, University of London will examine the processes by which teengers with migrant backgrounds are at risk of marginalisation and criminalisation. It applies procedural justice ideas to the International Self-Report Delinquency Study, a large survey of schoolchildren. The analysis focusses on England, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Scotland and the USA. It compares first and second generation migrant teenagers with non-migrants, differentiating between those from visible ethnic minorities and others.
